You are attempting to install a printer driver on your Windows device via \\printer.uni-kl.de with administrator privileges, but the installation aborts returning the error message "Unable to establish printer connection. Access denied."
First, ensure that you are connected to the campus network (directly on campus or via VPN).
- Remove any campus printers installed on your device.
- Remove your credentials for
\\printer.uni-kl.de in the Windows credential manager
(cf.: https://www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/en/printscan/instructions/changing-printer-credentials-windows/seite ).
- Add the printers again.
(cf.: https://www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/en/printscan/instructions/seite )
- WINDOWS CREDENTIALS
- by ADD A WINDOWS CREDENTIAL
- network address \\printer.uni-kl.de
- user name with
uni-kl\username
and the corresponding password.
You should then be able to access the printers.
Should the solution above still not establish any connectivity to the printers, try to log into terminal servers:
as an employee
ts.uni-kl.de
as a student
ts-stud.uni-kl.de
to use the printers there.
Otherwise, you can use the FollowMe printers via Mail-to-Print.
