I have received an e-mail that my account is about to be deleted. What should I do?

General Information:
Make sure that the account deletion/renewal mail is from RHRK.
If you are not sure about this, it is best to ask us for the current account status.
To do this, write us a request at https://hotline.rhrk.uni-kl.de/ with your username and your current status (student, employee, ...).

!!!ATTENTION!!!
Under no circumstances should you provide your RHRK account information on a third-party website.
You will never be asked by RHRK to provide your username AND PASSWORD for account deletion/renewal.
Should the account deletion mail turn out to be a fake and you have provided your username AND PASSWORD anyway, please change your password immediately here: https://password.uni-kl.de/.

Additionally, have your antivirus software run a full scan of your system to ensure safety.
For more helpful information and how to report fake or phishing mails like, as well as security breaches and data mishaps, please visit the IT Security Officer's website: https://www.uni-kl.de/informationssicherheit

Students:
The deactivation/deletion of your account is imminent, but your studies have not yet been completed?
Generally, only students from other universities are sent account renewal mails at the end of the semester. These have to be confirmed.
Please note that these mails are located in your Communigate mailbox of your RHRK account. You can access your mails via https://mail.uni-kl.de/
If you miss the renewal, you can have your account reactivated with a proof of your study time.
Students of TUKL/RPTU will be renewed automatically and will not receive an email regarding account renewals.

Employees:
Deactivation/deletion of your account is imminent, but you still need your account?
Usually an account is automatically renewed, unless your supervisor has entered a validity period for your account. In this case, please contact your supervisor.
Your supervisor can update the status of your account here: https://accounts.rhrk.uni-kl.de/
